SUSA Youth Development Program

What is the YDP Program?

Our Youth Development Program is focused on developing players at our youngest age groups. The program is for children ages 2-8.

There are 3 division within the Bright Futures pathway.  The youngest Munchkin group is for 2, 3 and 4 year olds.  Our curriculum uses an imagination based theme to get kids active and engaged in sports.  Sessions run in the Fall, Winter and Spring and take place 1x week.

The pre-k, kindergarten group is the next step in our program for 4, 5, and 6 year olds.  This is followed by the 1st and 2nd grade divsion for 6, 7 and 8 year olds.

The program for these ages  is aimed at instilling the basic level skills and love for soccer. Players will get the foundations of dribbling, passing, shooting and teamwork so that they can apply it later at the older age groups.  Sessions run in the Fall, Winter and Spring and include 1 training session during the week and a game on the weekend.

Junior Academy Teams are for kids born in 2015 and 2014 looking for a more competitive environment.  These players are placed onto teams based on ability.  These teams practice 2x a week and compete against other clubs in games and tournaments.  It is a yearly commitment for the more dedicated player.
