SUSA FC and the Long Island Slammers have officially aligned, with SUSA FC taking over day-to-day operations of the Long Island Slammers brand across both the boys and girls programs. The Slammers will keep their name, uniforms, coaching staff, and home location — SUSA simply steps in to run the backend: administration, resources, and competitive league access.
What This Partnership Actually Means
Long Island Slammers players and families will see little change on the surface. Same coaches, same fields, same identity. What changes is the infrastructure behind it. SUSA FC brings its organizational systems, staff, and league relationships to support the Slammers brand — so the club can focus on player development without the operational overhead.
On the competitive side, players in both the boys and girls programs gain access to ECNL and ECNL Regional League pathways, which are among the top youth soccer leagues in the country.
Why This is a Good Deal for Both Sides
For SUSA FC, this expands their reach into Suffolk County and adds an established brand with its own player base, identity, and community trust. Rather than building from scratch, they plug into something that already exists.
For Long Island Slammers, it solves the hard part of running a competitive club — logistics, admin, and access to elite leagues — without giving up what makes the club the club. The name stays, the staff stays, the culture stays.
What It Means for Players
Access to ECNL and ECNL Regional League competition for both boys and girls
Same coaching staff and training location
Same Long Island Slammers uniforms and brand
New players in Suffolk County can now access an ECNL/RL pathway locally
What's Next
Current Slammers families can expect a smooth transition with no disruption to their player experience.
